Attentus & Liliana Vess.
Attentus is name of a Mage, who reincarnated in Dominaria, and ascended into the Planeswalking.
By his personality, Attentus is a cautious, subtle, meticulous, insidious & romantic perfectionist well-trained in the Art of Magick, with a strong will, personal discipline & restraint. He is quite well mannered, intelligent, wise & eloquent as well.
He has weakness for women, can be quite brave & gentle for them - but his current consort - Liliana Vess - guards him well, and often makes him a rival of her rivals.
Attentus' Arcane Powers come from within, but his learning included Arcane Theory as well - while one can learn not only from books, as life presents many experiences & opportunities, book theories often inspire him to meditate, to develop his Arcane potential that way - to reach for Akashic Scrolls, to dig for Arcane Magick he wielded in his countless previous lives as a Magician.
He's disillusioned, however, with pursuits of Magickal Power for the Power alone, as his thoughts are:
- 'Magick fails when needed the most',
- 'One should not replace the goal with tools that can be used to achieve it'.
... but his current consort still is making him as he was at his previous life's youth - an aggressive, meticulous in pursuits of Arcane Power, in Arcane Conquests - 'she still makes him that way'.
Story so far.
After a few of less meaningful - but no less difficult - magickal duels, Attentus & Liliana Vess soldified somewhat an uneasy alliance with Amaranth, a noble Vampyr, the Bloodline Keeper, with his Vampyr clan.
During a duel that soon followed, they gained acces to the Time Vault, perhaps they will study secrets of the local time-stream domination in future - as a way of gaining advantage & winning in magick duels.
